Introduction to My Life

Adrian Childe
“Introduction to My Life”
"Unsigned"
2010

[Intro]
You know it’s funny how, life passes by so quick
And sometimes, you don’t even recognize it
Welcome to my life

I remember growing up on lonely Chantry street
Starting when I was young, way back when I was three
I had a toy car, I pushed it with my feet
Momma told me never stop until my goal’s complete
My life was all good, but then it seemed to shatter
And I was just too young to understand what really mattered
My father’s only son, my momma’s only kid
I always asked God why’d things happen like they did
I never knew why, but then it seemed to hit me
A person has a journey, and mine ain’t seem to fit me
So let me tell you how dear God was always with me
One day I could have died but I guess he didn’t pick me
I guess one day I was out eating ice cream cones
I was with my dad, right in front of home
There parked the ice cream truck and I was so prone
I had no conscience then, I walked out on my own
I walked to the other lane and a car passed by
I guess they didn’t see me, I thought this was goodbye
They knocked me stone cold, that day I could have died
Every day since then I thank God I’m still alive

[CHORUS] (Repeat 2x)
Now let me introduce you to my life
I gotta’ story you can see through my eyes
Where I wanna’ go is where the wind blows
I can’t sit back and watch life pass by

I thank God that I didn’t die
My folks cried many tears when I could not reply
I was their only son, and they stood by my side
They kept their head up while I couldn’t even try
A few years passed after we had a close call
My pops had won the lotto shortly after I recall
We then moved out to a city that was small
But who would have known it was a city I’d enthrall?

[CHORUS] (Repeat 2x)
Now let me introduce you to my life
I gotta’ story you can see through my eyes
Where I wanna’ go is where the wind blows
I can’t sit back and watch life pass by

The place I then called home was called O-town
It’s short for Ocoee, that’s where I met my boys
Jay and D-Flo until now they still come around
That’s what I call a friend, we made it with no end
Often times I pray my friends don’t choose to condescend
I hoped for the best for all my peers and I
And life has passed by but true facts can’t be denied
Over the years I’ve learned much
Ive made many mistakes and always wound up in a clutch
But that could never stop cause by God I’ve been touched
And I always played it calm, there was no need to rush
I spent my next years growing up and things changed
It wasn’t all a pleasure, I felt a deal of pain
That’s when I turned to music, I thought it could retain
I guess over time for myself I’ve made a name
And that’s one of the best choices that I’ve made

[CHORUS] (Repeat 2x)
Now let me introduce you to my life
I gotta’ story you can see through my eyes
Where I wanna’ go is where the wind blows
I can’t sit back and watch life pass by

Follow Your Dreams

Adrian Childe
“Follow Your Dreams”
"Unsigned"
2010

[Intro]
This song right here, is my favorite song
And always will be, because I am the difference
I am unstoppable, I am in control
And that will never change, if I just follow my dreams

Lately I’ve been tryna’ figure out what’s right from wrong
It seems like every night gets harder now that I’ve been gone
I’ve been on my own, for quite a while now
I guess I needed time for all those nights I was down
And I don’t blame my peers, for being frustrated
And losing trust in me, I’ve never felt so hated
But it was my fault, I had so many fears
I tried to keep things to myself after all these years
I felt like giving up, I almost walked away
I guess I had forgot, there’s always brighter days
It’s never too late, to turn your life around
And make your stormy nights turn fully upside down
So when there’s ever doubt, look inside your heart
And know you’ve got yourself, you’re never far apart
There’s only one person, that can be the change
That person is yourself, now let me explain

[CHORUS]
If you got a plan that seems hard to follow
If you stay up nights cause things are hard to swallow
Take a look at yourself and realize, you can be the change now
Take a look at yourself and realize, take a look at yourself and realize
Just follow your, just follow your, just follow your dreams
And you can be the change

Now I’m sure, everyone has their share of troubles
But look at me, I’m still going, still flowing
Always staying positive, you’ll never see my doubts showing
No matter what this crazy life keeps throwing I’ma keep going
And I don’t really care, cause you know I’ma smash that
And when it comes to drama, I hope y’all know that I’m passed that
I’ma prove a point, cause I’ma stay focused now
Until the day I get signed, Masta Flo ain’t going down

[CHORUS] (Repeat 3x)
If you got a plan that seems hard to follow
If you stay up nights cause things are hard to swallow
Take a look at yourself and realize, you can be the change now
Take a look at yourself and realize, take a look at yourself and realize
Just follow your, just follow your, just follow your dreams
And you can be the change

[Ending]
Just follow your dreams and you can be the change
Just follow your dreams and you can be the change
Just follow your, just follow your, just follow your dreams
